- Monitors forecasts and quotas to identify changes and determines their effect on supply chain activities.
- Defines performance metrics for measurement, comparison and evaluates supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.
- Analyzes inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reducing waste and optimizing customer service.
- Develops procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance, logistics.
- Negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, vendors and freight forwarders.
- Meets with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, performance feedback and production forecasts and changes.
- Establishes and implements supply chains that support business strategies in line with changing market conditions, new business opportunities and cost reduction strategies.
- Manages activities related to strategic and tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control and warehousing.
- Collaborates with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify and qualify new suppliers.
- Monitors suppliers’ performance to assess their ability in delivering the required materials with the best quality standards, and deliver times.
- Evaluates, reviews and implements new supply chain processes in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards and regulations
- Evaluates and selects information and other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials, inventory and products distribution.
- Performs any other related functions as directed by GM.
- Monitor and implement required HSE standards.
