Risk Analyst - Gulf Insurance Co.

Prepares reports and reviews
on the Operational Risk of all business units, including support
functions, recommendations and action plans.Reviews policies, practices
and procedures to identify business improvement opportunities.Develops and monitors key
risk indicators relating to the assigned risk areas.Coordinates "Risk and
Control Self-Assessment" workshops for the company.Formulates and implements
Business Continuity Management for the company.Undertakes process
re-engineering/re-designing exercises and periodically assesses business
and process-flows to identify potential risks.Reports immediately to the
line Manager all material and significant breaches or potential breaches
to the limits or any noncompliance to the company’s policies and
procedures.Participates in the
development of the methodology, model assumptions and input parameters for
modeling and stress testing.Monitors credit risk
exposures and investment policy limits regularly and report limit
violations and urgent early warning indicators to the Manager.Prepares Senior Management
reports relating to credit risk exposures including current exposures,
ratings of exposures (Internal and External), stress testing simulation
analysis and impact on Economic Capital, Local Solvency as well as rating
agencies’ Capital Models.Gathers and prepares data
needed for the calculation of the Solvency Capital Requirement from all
Underwriting functions, the Actuarial function, and the Life and Non-Life
Finance functions.Measures the Non-Life
Underwriting, Life Underwriting and Health Underwriting Risk components of
the Solvency Capital Requirement of the Solvency II Framework.Develops, maintains and
enhances risk data models and reporting tools.Prepares periodical risk
analyses and presentations for specific job requirements.Assists in preparation of
Risk Management reports and reviews.Assists in the preparation of
regulator and external stakeholder reporting relating to risk management.Assists with the
implementation of relevant IT and other systems to support the reporting
and escalation of risk control effectiveness.Calculates, analyzes and
monitors the Risk Appetite as well as Asset Liability Management (ALM) for
the company.Analyzes and reviews the IBNR
calculation using claims triangle reports for the company for each line of
business and liaisons with Fairfax technical team.Manages and prepares the
Rating Project for the company by gathering & providing the required
information, corresponding with the rating agencies, preparing all the
related analyses on the company’s performance, calculating the capital
adequacy, reviewing the related risks and combining all the information in
a comprehensive presentation.Keeps abreast of key
developments in the risk management.Assists the line manager as
